What To Expect
Your weekend ticket includes onsite camping—the perfect base for a few days of music, community, and campfire picking. (Single-day ticket holders do not have access to camping.)
Camping space is first come, first served, and sites are not reserved or assigned. There’s typically room for all weekend campers, but the earlier you arrive, the easier it is to find a campsite that suits you best.
⚡ Electric & Power
Our electrical system is designed for light use only—charging batteries, running CPAP machines, powering minimal lighting, and small shower pumps.
High-draw appliances such as air conditioners, electric stoves, and some coffee makers are not supported. If you plan to use electricity, every vehicle must have its own pass—even if sharing a hookup.
If you park near an outlet (including setup weekend), an electric pass is required.🔋 Generators
Quiet generators are allowed. “Contractor-grade” or loud units aren’t appropriate for the campground; festival staff may ask you to shut down any generator deemed too loud.
Parking near an outlet still requires an electric pass, even if you use your generator.🚿 Water, Showers & Campfires
Showers: Free hot-water showers with electricity are available on site.
Water: Potable water is available; you can arrive dry and fill your tanks on arrival.
Campfires: Permitted in provided campfire rings (free at the gate) unless a government burn ban is in effect.
🚗 Getting Around
Motorcycles: Allowed, but must be left near the gate or walked (not ridden) to your campsite.
Bicycles: No riding anywhere on site during the festival.
Off-road vehicles: Use may be limited or stopped at our discretion.
🎟️ Who Can Camp
Camping is included with Weekend tickets only.
No visitors—everyone 16 and older on site needs the appropriate ticket.
No camping with day tickets. -
Arrival Info
Gates open Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Check in at the main gate to get your wristbands. If you purchased electric camping, turn in your electric ticket for a power pass, which must be attached to your power cord.
If you’re a returning camper and already know your favorite spot, head on over and get set up. New to Wind Gap? Our friendly volunteers will help guide you to a good campsite — please be patient as the team works to get everyone settled in for a great weekend of music and fun.
A water filling station is available on-site; the gate crew can direct you to it. Please be considerate and efficient with your space — don’t take more room than you need so we can accommodate everyone and keep the campground friendly and welcoming for all.

Early Setup
🕓 Early Setup (Pre-Festival Drop-Off)
We offer an early setup day on Sunday before the festival, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, for campers who want to get settled before gates officially open.
You’re welcome to drop off your camper, set up your tents, and even help set up your friends’ tents—that’s part of the Wind Gap spirit. However, early setup is not for roping off or reserving large empty areas. Please set up only what you’re actually using.
Any roped-off or unattended open space will be cleared by festival staff. This keeps camping fair and welcoming for everyone, especially new arrivals looking for a spot.During early setup, no one is permitted to hook up to electricity. Power will be available only once the festival officially opens.
If you park near an outlet, you’ll still need an electric pass (purchase in advance or at the gate), but connections cannot be made until gates open.Admission tickets aren’t required on setup day—only an electric pass if you’re parked near power.
