Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival. Lend a hand, meet great people, and help keep our bluegrass tradition alive.

The Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival runs on a small group of dedicated volunteers who help the weekend flow smoothly and keep bluegrass alive in Wind Gap. Whether you’re assisting with parking, supporting performers, or working the merch booth, you’ll help create a safe and welcoming festival for everyone.

Volunteer Roles

  • Parking & Traffic: Guide cars safely and help campers find their spots.

  • Security: Support a safe and welcoming environment throughout the festival grounds.

  • Stage & Performer Support: Assist stage staff and help performers move smoothly between sets.

  • Merchandise Booth: Help sell and organize festival merch with a friendly smile.

  • First Aid: Provide basic first aid assistance and help ensure prompt response in case of emergencies. Basic first aid or CPR certifications  

  • Setup & Tear-Down: Pitch in before and after the festival for site prep and cleanup.

Assignments are based on festival needs and availability.

What to Expect

  • Total Shifts are typically 4–6 hours per day.

  • Be flexible, reliable, and ready for outdoor work.

  • Bring sturdy shoes, sunscreen, rain gear, and a hat.

  • Volunteers must stay sober while on duty.

  • Children can’t accompany you during shifts.

  • Check-in begins Wednesday morning, unless otherwise arranged.
